My dear Friend and president, DJT,
It looks like you are going to have a rainy day in DC today. The perfect day to hang out in your office entertaining PM Peter Pellegrini (PP) from Slovakia. I had to scrounge around on the internet to find out about Slovakia. As I am sure you know it is resisting the euroscepticism that the other 3 countries in the Visegrad are embracing. They plan to increase their military spending to 2% of their GDP so you should be happy about that. I understand that PP is bringing you a special baseball bat and his wife will be giving Melania a folk costume. I hope you have some gifts for them.
As I was trying to find out why you might be meeting with PP, I read in the WP that you hope to "deepen (your) club of autocratic leaders and shore up populist leaders ahead of European [Parliament] elections on May 23" by inviting 3 of the 4 Visegrad leaders to the WH this spring. Apparently, PP isn't as autocratic or populist as Viktor Orban or Andrej Babis, so that must NOT be the reason that you are meeting with the leader of a small country with tall mountains. If that's not the reason, then what is?
I have another question for you today. What's up with your new rule allowing health care workers to refuse health care on religious grounds? I am in favor of religious freedom but worry when someone's exercise of that freedom harms someone else. It seems to me that if someone is morally opposed to some aspect of their job, they should get a different job. I hate to think that a gender-non-conforming person might be denied health care by someone. I think that's taking religious freedom a step too far, don't you?
Extend my greetings to PP,
RCA
