How was the meeting with the FAS folk yesterday? Did you take time to learn about their environmental apprehensions? If you want them to continue hosting our military operations, you might want to help them sustain their island habitats. It would be the polite thing to do.

So, here's a bizarre thing. Jared was trying to seduce me. That's right. Last night in my dream, Jared and I were together with a bunch of other people in some vacation place, and he was chasing me around. While this was happening, a little dog kept peeing on the carpet.
Here's the partial explanation for this. I know that the peeing dog part was a remnant of my phone conversation with my mom about her puppy, Annie, who still has "accidents" from time to time. I saw a photo of Jared yesterday, which would explain his presence in the dream, but why would he be seducing me?
A shrink might say that I was acting out my conflictual feelings about YOU. I've written 494 pages to you and I am still confounded. How can I love a guy who does stuff that is so offensive to me?
Does anything perplex you? So many things perplex me. This morning as I tried to learn about Jared's Peace Plan I watched a WP video about the plight of the Palestinian refugees living in Gaza. They are worried that they won't have enough to eat once the UNRWA funding runs out. Their situation reminds me of the plight of the Jews in Warsaw in 1943 when they got so hopeless that they decided they'd rather die in a blaze of glory than quietly be deported to Treblinka. The irony of Israel subjecting others to persecution depresses me. If they can do this, then we are doomed to repeat this in perpetuity.
One of the Palestinians in the video is desperate not knowing how he's going to feed his two kids. Folks in that kind of despair can do crazy things. Please help me understand why you stopped sending $ to UNRWA. It doesn't make sense to me.
