My dear Friend and President, DJT,
How are you today? I can see from your tweets that you are eager to get some new immigration legislation. I encourage you to revisit the idea of intractable problems before you promise that "it will all be smooth."
I didn't see any tweets about your Las Vegas speech to the RJC. How did it go? I understand that Sheldon Adelson was right in the front row which must mean that he was feeling well enough to attend. It's nice that he could be there. I'm sure you sang his praises in your speech but I can't find a transcript so I can't find out exactly what you said.
According to the Jerusalem Post you got interrupted by some protesters who evoked the plagues associated with the upcoming Passover holiday by chanting "Jews are here to say. Occupation is a plague" and "Jews are here to say. White nationalism is a plague." Doesn't it give you a little tingle when you encounter protesters? Free speech is what this country's all about. You just gotta love that parrhesia! It's also a reminder that Jewish Americans have a wide range of views about Israel.
I am wondering about your choice to nominate Herman Cain to be on the Federal Reserve. He doesn't seem to have the right disposition, and he certainly has a thing against Democrats. He says that they“brainwash” the nation, “murder kids” and will “rig the next election." He may know how to sell pizza but is that enough to set monetary policy? Herman would like to go back to the Gold Standard and while that might be easiest to understand, most economists agree that basing our economic policy on the supply of a precious metal is unnecessarily limiting. Some people worry that his allegiance to you will drive his decision making. Don't you think we'd be better off with a non-partisan economist?
Enjoy your day!
