My dear Friend and president, DJT,
In the wee hours I wrote the following:
"It is 2:54 AM. I am not sleeping. On this day, April 15, I am taxed. Overly so."
I won't bore you with the details about the various responsibilities that weigh on me. I just wanted you to know that these letters are one of them. Some days I think I should stop, but then you do or say something that I feel warrants a note. Writing is the only way I can let go of the negative energy that you evoke in me. That being said, there may be days in the next 8 weeks when you don't hear from me. Please don't worry about me. I'll be ok.
So, you are headed to Minnesota today to talk about how great your tax cut was. I'm sure my wealthy friends from Dartmouth College would agree. The teachers I work with, not so much. They wish you had channeled the funds to their schools. Folks who drive on Hwy 37 wish you'd send some of that $$ to help insure that road is not the first to succumb to high water. The reporter on KQED this morning said Hwy 37 was going to be the "a serious climate mess." Please get busy on that infrastructure spending.
Did you see that Stephen Miller was front and center on the NYT today? He's been able to stay behind the scenes up until the last few weeks, but now he's in the spotlight. Even WSJ mentioned him as the force behind the departures of immigration top brass last week. I don't think he's going to handle the spotlight too well. Please make sure he is getting that counseling I have been talking about.
I wonder if any of Ilhan Omar's constituents will show up to your speech today. It's just a half hour drive from District 5 to Burnsville. If they do, I hope you will be cordial and acknowledge their right to assemble and speak freely.
I hope you collect all of the taxes that we all need to promote the general welfare and to insure domestic tranquility.
Best,
RCA
