2/3/19
My dear Friend and President, DJT,
How was golf yesterday? Did Jack and Tiger let you win? Did Tiger hit you up to participate in his foundation's latest efforts? I think it's wonderful that he's supporting 14-year old, Adam Alvin who is launching an online Mindfulness Peace Summit to help other kids develop meditation practices. It'll be Feb 11 - 15 to mark the anniversary of the Parkland Shootings. Adam uses his inner peace strategies on the golf course. I encourage you to invite him over to the WH to help you stay calm.
Have you been rehearsing your State of the Union address? I am thrilled to hear that you will be emphasizing unification. Since that's supposed to be the theme, I assume that Stephen Miller had nothing to do with writing it. That's a wise decision.
If you want to be really bold, you will include the theme of RECONCILIATION. You could mention Quaker, Bayard Rustin, who had the brilliant idea of getting a group of White and Black men to ride buses together through the South in 1947. They were trying to show that segregation hurt White people as much as it hurt Black people. The Fellowship of Reconciliation is still going strong after 103 years of service. You might give them a call to get a few facts for your speech.
In my dreams, I imagine that during your speech you would look into the balcony and greet Victorina Morales, thank her for her 5 years of service cleaning your house at Bedminster and apologize for firing her. Then you would acknowledge that most of the people crossing our Southern border are just like her, economically disadvantaged people looking for a better life. According to Vicki, you were nice to her before you became President so I know that you do have a soft spot for her and the other undocumented workers that you employed. You can reconcile and it's not too late. As I'm sure you know, Vicki will be there as the guest of NJ Rep. Bonnie Watson Colemanso you can make my dream come true.
Enjoy your Super Bowl party,
