My Dear Friend and President, DJT,
My parents were married 64 years ago today in Montclair, NJ. Even though my dad has passed, we celebrate their union – a mostly happy partnership between two extroverts who were always on the go, playing tennis & bridge, serving as deacons at church, leading scout troops, coaching sports – making the world a better place. They considered their marriage vows sacred and stuck together through thick and thin. An inspiration to us all!
I encourage you to read about VVP & NPP in the news today. The NYT described VVP as “a political grandmaster of three-dimensional chess” & the Guardian applauds NPP because “she quelled an insurrection to reclaim the gavel, engineered the end of the longest government shutdown in US history, and impeached the president, all while averting another shutdown and negotiating with the White House on a trade deal with Canada and Mexico.” Like you, neither one is perfect but, like you, both know how to play the game of politics. Fascinating!
Be careful on the links today – there’s a chance of t-storms.
Best,
