My dear Friend and President, DJT,

Things just keep getting creepier and creepier, or maybe I am just feeling the effects of the season and the fires. I get up in the dark these days and wake up to stories on the radio about a convoluted plan for Exxon to extract oil from Syria which apparently is called, "pillage." That does not sound good. Please leave the oil alone. It doesn't belong to us.

Thanks for your words of encouragement to the police officers convened in Chicago yesterday. I liked the part when you said, "Out of love for our neighbors, care for our communities, and commitment to our country, we will shield peace-loving, law-abiding Americans from anyone and everyone who would do them harm." I would have preferred if you didn't put any modifiers on "Americans." Don't you think the police should keep the peace for everyone rather than try to figure out who might be "peace-loving" and let the courts decide about the "law abiding" part?

Did you really have to say all of that mean stuff about CPD Supt. Eddie Johnson? As he noted, ‘Today, the same police officers, the president criticized for their inability to protect this city, spent all day protecting him." He says that "getting caught up in negativity has just never been something that" he does. I love that!

I was also surprised that you didn't mention our fires. We've got a lot of first responders out here working really hard. They might not be police chiefs but they are protecting us. Some words of encouragement would be appreciated as we go into another windy day.

I hope all goes well when you present the Presidential Award for Extraordinary Efforts to Combat Trafficking. Your office did not put out a press release so there's no info about who will be honored. Someone's not doing their job and might need some guidance so we can stay informed.

            Peace,

            RCA
