My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
It’s not too late, never too late. You can turn this boat around & head us in a new direction. You need to remember we are on a huge vessel so it will take time to change course, but we are heading toward a desert island right now & being isolated in the middle a rising ocean will not be fun. Just ask the people of Tuvalu who have resorted to digitally capturing their country so it can continue to exist in some form after their islands become engulfed. The BBC says, “the islands' digital twin will act as a way for the people that form a Tuvaluan diaspora to remain connected to each other & to the lands & heritage they have lost.”
If we keep isolating ourselves, we may not get engulfed by the ocean, but we will lose so much of what we’ve slowly built over the years. Our federal agencies may be flawed but “the muddling of government is the backbone of this country, imperfect, frustrating, & intoxicatingly full of possibility, the dull foundations on which people might, & often do, rise to meet their moments.” (Carolyn Nash)
You can do a couple of things today which would head us in the right direction. First, use your deal making expertise to get Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia sent back here so he can have his day in court. You’ve gotten prisoners released from foreign jails in the past. Certainly, you can do so again. You don’t want to prove your haters right by defying the SCOTUS. I know that you want to keep everyone guessing so surprise them by getting KAAG back.
Second, send more help to Burma. This earthquake is the perfect opportunity to advance change & right now China is capitalizing on the opportunity. If you want to have some influence in Asia, having a presence in Burma would be prudent.
Thanks for uplifting Dada Fofana when the midshipman visited you yesterday. The guy is incredible! Did you know that in addition to being a leader on the football field, he’s an academic rock star on his way to become a MD? He also plays the cello & best of all, he attributes these gifts to God! Folks consider him selfless, humble & honest. He’s the kind of person we should all aspire to be, putting others before himself & never speaking ill of anyone.
Please ask for God’s guidance as you participate in the Easter prayer celebration at the WH tonight. You may be surprised by the result.
BYBS,
