JRB,

            A man just biked down my street, threatening to kill a woman as she walked to her car. What can we do to ameliorate this situation? The woman shouldn’t have to be alarmed by a tortured soul. The man needs care.

Someone slept on our sidewalk last night & I was at a loss on what to do when I passed by at 6:30AM while walking the dog. They were enclosed in a blanket under the eaves of our building. I know some of my neighbors would want me to chase them away. I know they have nowhere to go. I don’t know how to help. What do you suggest?

            I’m sorry to dump this on you, when I should be inquiring about your feelings regarding your speech last night. Did you feel the love from the delegates?

I’m sorry that a community meal here at WC prevented me from tuning into the convention. It would have been fun to see AOC stepping into her new role as “bona fide Democratic establishment star.” I would have also liked to hear what Hilary Clinton had to say about her nemesis.

I did get a chance to watch Hadley Duvall’s testimonial about her trauma of being impregnated by her stepfather at the age of 12 & her query of 45’s praise for abortion bans as a “beautiful thing”: “What is so beautiful about a child having to carry her parent’s child?”

According to the Peter Baker, you used many of your favorite phrases, including “inflection point,” “middle out, bottom up economics,”  “not a joke” & “I’m serious.” You made a jab at the press & concluded, as you often do, with “we’re the United States of America, & there’s nothing we cannot do when we do it together.”

I’m disappointed that there aren’t more protestors to alert the delegates that many of us want to see an end to all war.

Did you consider mentioning Burma or the Sudan? Please ask what KDH’s plans are to bring some attention to the plight of the people in those beleaguered places.
