My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,
27 years ago, a long, intense, Pitocin induced labor yielded a perfect little baby, who two weeks later, we named Arden. Some say the baby chooses their parents, in which case we are so lucky! Our daughter lets her God shine through every day. She embraces life by being silly at every opportunity. She loves nature, observes it intensely & has voluminous knowledge about all kinds of critters, especially insects. She takes good care of those she loves. We are blessed she chose us. I wish you could give her a quick call to wish her a happy birthday.
I have no idea what you are doing today because our internet is still not functioning. Without having to consult four newspapers & Google “Biden,” & “Myanmar,” this letter will be done in a snap.
My mom & I can live without going on line, but the younger guests, who are arriving next week, expect connectivity. I implore you, once again, to follow up on your promise to improve accessibility in the hinterlands.
I expect that the conflicts around the world continue apace. Please check up on Burma to see if there is an opening for you to intervene. Bringing some stability to that region would be a great way to end your presidency.
My BFF & her husband are coming this afternoon. They will not care that the internet is unavailable. They’ve got the same silly gene as my daughter, so we’ll have lots of laughs. Wish you could be here to join in the fun.
BYBS,
