My Dear Friend, JRB,

I am steeling myself for a sizzling day & strategizing on how I can thrive, rather than just survive. Always a challenging task, but when being active outside can be lethal, it is especially hard!

A trip to Home Depot for some concrete cleaner & curtain rods may be my only outing. Perhaps a yoga session in the exercise room will stimulate my nervous system & loosen up my fascia.

I hope you thrive today. Repeating our mantra, “Now, Now, Now” will help you be fully present with the descendants of Civil War heroes Pvts. Philip G. Shadrach & George D. Wilson when you bestow the Medal of Honor on them 162 years after they participated in the Great Locomotive Chase. According to the WP, their offspring are “swelling with pride,” so I hope you soak up that good vibe.

What vibes did you get from Rep Hakeem Jeffries & Sen Chris Coons when you spoke with them last night? Did they tell you to change your campaign staff? Doing so would prove to 45 that you do sometimes fire people. SPOW, what did you think of his prolonged riff about firing people. It’s too bad you weren’t sharper that night, or you might have said, when I see a problem, I try to fix the system & processes rather than just dismiss personnel.

Please reach out to the Karen Refugee community in Utica, NY. One of their beloved teens, Nyah Mway, was shot by police after being stopped because his friend was riding a bike in the road. As USA Today notes, “with wounds of persecution at the hands of the military & police in their home country still fresh in many of their minds, the Karen community of Utica is demanding justice.

Please tell Jill she looks great on her Vogue cover. I’m sorry she’s contending with criticism rather than enjoying her moment in the spotlight. Michelle Cottle(MC)’s says Jill is “the ‘Philly girl’ shielding (you) from the bad news.” You are so lucky to have her at your side!

I am curious to see what will happen at the event with the Dem Govs this PM.
