My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

 As I picked up trash on the River Walk today, I witnessed two notable events. First, I noticed an enraged man, walking down the path, grieved about fireworks & that his ID had been stolen, threatening to kill the person who had written on his bills. Alarmed, I wondered how long he had been yelling & would continue to yell. I left him alone, but my heart went out to him.

 As he was leaving the scene, I heard some chanting on West Capitol Ave & looked up to see a hoard of joggers being led by someone waving a flag. They had a police escort & were chanting something, making me wonder if they were a group in need of protection. It gave me the creeps to see so many young White men in military formation! I assume they were police recruits engaged in some kind of macho demonstration of their endurance.

Congratulations on your strong performance at the opening of the NATO Summit. According to the NYT, you spoke “in a strong voice, with few errors.” I was disappointed to see the assembled NATO leaders in the photo that accompanied the article. 12 white guys in their suits & ties do not represent the people on this planet. Your rhetoric foments fear & makes it sound like the world will end if regimes change.

If that’s the case, England is in a world of hurt. Their new PM is the third in a two-year time span. Speaking of which, I hope your meeting with PM Keir Starmer goes well. Did you see that he just made it so that  folks in the House of Lords have to retire at age 80? The G says this isn’t about you, but it is weird that he made that decision right before your meeting. I wish I had more time to learn about him, but alas my schedule is full. You know how that is.

Please discuss Burma with the PM. His country left their former colony in a giant mess & they owe them some assistance in putting the pieces back together.
