My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,
How was mass yesterday? Did you get moved by the spirit? Catholic Culture tells me it was Laetare Sunday. Did you see any rose-colored vestments at St. Joseph on the Brandywine? Was the sermon about Nicodemus & how he couldn’t completely commit to Jesus for fear of being shunned by his peers?
Our Meeting for Business was fraught. A Friend is impatient that our crew asks too many questions & is not up to speed on the complexity of the land transfer from the Quakers to the Nisenan. I’m afraid she’s given up on us. I hope she’ll return someday.
Have you met Aalayah Eastmond, from Team ENOUGH, one of the youth activist groups who just announced they are endorsing you? Please invite her to the WH & uplift her message that “gun violence is the last domino to fall at the end of a long line of racism, trauma & indifference.” Her passion is fueled by her personal experience with violence as a survivor of the Parkland school shooting. She is channeling her passion to make a difference in the world & deserves your attention.
When you visit the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown, NH take a look at their brand new pool featuring a 5 competition laps with a shallow water teaching section & zero-depth splash pad. I hope the Dem leaders have forgiven you for taking “a bat to the political hornet's nest in New Hampshire with trying to make South Carolina go first in the primary process." Scott Spradling says that you “owe them a debt of gratitude & maybe privately a bit of an apology” for that.
As usual, I request that you turn your attention to Burma & encourage peace talks. According to the Irrawaddy, “the coordinated offensive launched last week near the border with China is continuing after the Kachin Independence Army seized more than 20 outposts & bases from the junta’s military.” WINTA!
BYBS,
