My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Congrats on passing your physical!

            How about having a national leap moment on this special day? At 1:00 EST/10:00 PST, everyone in the country, who is able, could take a running leap, throw their hands up in the air & shout for joy! Setting aside our differences, celebrating the NOW & being grateful for our existence on this planet would do us all a world of good. The image of you, 45, Mitch McConnel (AMM) & all the other elected officials on the National Mall doing a happy dance makes me smile.

            Have you spoken with AMM about his exit as GOP boss? I appreciated your comment at yesterday’s event about “your great relationship” & your trust in one another. I hope he is followed by someone you can trust.

            I hope your visit to TX goes well. Will you be meeting Sister Norma Pimentel? She’s been eager for you to visit ever since your inauguration so she can show you what the families at the border are facing. Please echo her plea, “we must be fierce as lions to do God’s will. But we also must be gentle souls as we reach out to those who need our compassion.” I don’t know how best to manage the border, but I do know that the people who want to come here deserve to be treated humanely.

            Please take a look at today’s The Hill which features a piece by Ellen Goldstein, the former director for Myanmar at the World Bank, where she suggests “the U.S. should enhance its dialogue with China on Myanmar.” I haven’t read anything about conversation between your people & XJ’s. Please keep the lines of conversation with them open.
