My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Are you ready for a protest? According to ABC7, you will be greeted by the Palestinian Youth Music group when your helicopter lands at Marina Green. They were protesting yesterday at the Montgomery BART stop & our Senator Laphonza Butler (LRB) expressed her appreciation that they are “not letting us turn our eyes away.”

Mehdi Hasan(MH) writes in the G that you can pick up the phone today & end the bombing in Gaza. He notes that Ronald Regan did something along those lines in 1982 calling Menachem Begin & telling him he was committing “Holocaust” in Beirut. MH makes a strong case that you have the power to end this thing. I encourage you to do so.

I am contemplating whether I should use my savings to buy a ticket for an audience with you. If I gave your campaign $100,000, how much facetime would I get? 30 seconds? I’m not sure that would be sufficient to tell you about these letters. I hate to think that you can be bought, but today’s coverage of your campaign fund raising makes me wonder.

Will Sir Mark Harris Getty be at the event tonight? I am intrigued that a guy who has made a fortune on owning images has so few of himself available on the internet. According to i, he is “one of Britain’s richest, & most private men.” They also note that the Getty’s have a fascinating “story of avarice & altruism, of triumph & tragedy.”

            Maybe someday you will share some of their secrets with us common folk. In the meantime, I wish you success in getting some donations.

            My ask for the day is that you be in touch with Rep Bill Huizenga (MI-4) & Betty McCollum (MN-4) who recently announced the Congressional Burma Caucus. I reached out to my Congressman Mike Thompson to see if he had joined. BH says, “This caucus will serve as an important conduit for Burmese Communities across the US & look for ways to support human rights & democratic representation for the People of Burma.”

Like LRB said, let’s not “turn our eyes away.”
