My dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,
I just took my CV test. In 15 minutes I will know whether I can go to the office today. I feel fine. I’ll have to bike through the rain to get to campus. That’s always fun.
Speaking of which, you are having way too much fun at the WH these days. Yesterday you hosted Jason Sudeikis & his gang. Did he tell you about KC & what a nice place it is? I liked his suggestion that we all tune into our friends & neighbors to “ask how they’re doing, & listen, sincerely.”
Did you get to spend much time with Sahba Motallebi & Rana Mansour at the Nowruz party? Did you know that Rana can sing in 10 different languages? I hope you thanked her for spreading the word about the protests in Iran.
What are you hearing about the upcoming elections in Thailand? According to AJ, the Burmese folks there hope to see a new regime that will be less friendly to General Min Aung Hlaing. Apparently, Paetongtarn Shinawatra is quite popular. Her party, Pheu Thai issued a statement reiterating its “unwavering support to the rights to rally for democracy & to be protected by the rule of law, including a free & fair trial & to be granted bail, for the citizens of any & every country, including our very own Thailand”. Doesn’t that sound promising?
Thanks for awarding Mindy Kaling, Dartmouth, ’01, an Art award today. I am loving her old show, Mindy, & hope to see her new one, Sex Lives of College Girls. She manages to find that fine line between funny & raunchy in a feminist manner. My grandma CeCe would have loved it!
The CV test says “C” which means negative. Yeah! Gotta go.
BYBS,
