My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Flying down to VA Beach? Really? I know that traffic around DC is bad, but, please, stop jumping on AF1 for short trips. You are setting a very bad example. I encourage you to limit your flying. Not only would doing so reduce your carbon footprint, it would also give you a way to conserve your energy for your upcoming campaign. You might win some young voters by making a big deal about campaigning via Zoom to protect the environment.

            Kamaria Braye, reporting on WAVY, Channel 10, speculates that you are visiting VA Beach today to announce your candidacy. Apparently, the beach resort community is purple. My sister lives there, but don’t expect her to attend your event. She & her husband vote for the GOP. We don’t talk politics, because she gets mad.

            Speaking of announcing candidacies, what do you think of Marianne Williamson who says, “I’m running for president to help bring an aberrational chapter of our history to a close & to help bring forth a new beginning.” I love her support for the creation of a US Department of Peace & financial reparations to Black Americans as atonement for centuries of slavery and discrimination. I also appreciate her tenacity in putting herself out there. She says that after the 2016 election, she finds it “odd for anyone to think they can know who can win the presidency”

            Changing subjects, let’s read Kaamil Ahmed’s new book, I Feel No Peace: Rohingya Fleeing Over Seas and Rivers. Perhaps it would help you better understand why we need to open our borders.
