My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Superbowl Sunday – I hope the game is as good as the ads. I am cheering for KC even though I hate their mascot & the chant that goes with it. Perhaps we can persuade Patrick Mahomes to lead an effort to change the name. He is by far the most popular man in that city so he might have sufficient influence to persuade them it’s time for something different. The KC Kings would go nicely with the KC Royals, don’t you think?

            It looks like you and the 31 governors who dined with you at the WH last night had a nice time. I appreciated your sentiment, “it’s hard to hate up close.”

            The idea of breaking bread with one’s foes appeals. How about inviting VVP & VOZ for a meal at the WH? Don’t call it negotiation or even diplomacy just a gathering to share food. Make it a potluck so everyone is on equal footing. Maybe you should have it in a neutral location. A place like Bali might be good. If you can’t get the men together, perhaps you could persuade their wives to attend.

            It may sound silly, but we need to be creative to keep hope alive that peace can be restored.

            My Friend from Yangon Meeting helped me to stay hopeful this morning. She has just been to Burma in the Karen region. She noted that despite the suffering, the spirit is still alive in the people. They support one another. They strive to learn. They do their best to enjoy the day. They refuse to be defeated. They have faith that one day unity will be restored so they keep on living despite the threat of violence.

            As you travel to Poland next week, please remember that WINTA & refrain from selling anyone any weapons.
