My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I continue to hold ALL the people of Israel in the Light. I regret the death & destruction there, but what troubles me most is the expression of hatred coming from all quarters. Jews expressing outrage at Hamas. Palestinians celebrating “victory” in the streets of Berlin. Fear & anger unleashed foments violence. Many innocent people are paying the price. Please do all you can to tone down the rhetoric.

            Perhaps some time forest bathing would help. You could take a walk in East Potomac Park. Admire the trees, the river. Listen to the bird song. Take some deep breathes. Remind yourself that life goes on & we are fortunate to be on the planet at this moment.

            I think that’s what our indigenous neighbors have to teach us, and on this day which you proclaimed their day, 2023, we should revere the planet as we “celebrate the good, confront the bad, & tell the whole truth of our history.” I got that line from your proclamation.

            As you seek peace within, please also speak peace for every corner of the world, especially Burma.
