My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I feel you. Calling the Hispanic Caucus the “Black Caucus” & forgetting to shake hands with Lula de Silva are things I might do. Isn’t it odd that Hindustan Times reported on it?

            I wish I had a helper to pack my stuff for the trip I am taking today. I’d like to arrive at my destination with just the right outfits but have trouble picking them out. I am especially discombobulated this time, because I am going to a rustic cabin to do woodsy activities & a fancy cottage to attend several wedding festivities. I need rain gear & dancing shoes & imagining temps of 60 degrees is challenging. I’ll just stuff something in my bag, cross my fingers & be on my way. You are so lucky you wear a suit all the time.

            Speaking of which, what do you think of the latest hullabaloo over the Senate dress code? Do you agree with the editorial board of the WP that Sen. John Fetterman’s gym shorts, sneakers & baggy hoodie represent a “radical shift” & desecrate the sanctity of Congress? I’m more inclined toward the “free to be me” approach & eschew dress codes.

The wedding I am attending calls for “garden formal” whatever that is. I plan to wear a comfortable little black dress that I can dance in. I doubt anyone will notice my attire.

Thanks for providing an additional $116 million in humanitarian aid to the Rohingya refugees. Perhaps you could find a few more $$ somewhere. Individual alumni manage to come up with donations of almost that size.

Forgive me for being harsh. I am in a hurry & don’t have time for careful word choice.

FYI – we will be experiencing the equinox Sat at 2:50 AM EST. Since Earth is at just the right angle to catch the solar wind, I may get to see the aurora. I’ll be at a good altitude for it.
