My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Did you get a chance to look at any exhibits at the Met during your reception there last night? Did you marvel at Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery? Not only does it have pieces from across several centuries, Pueblo folk curated it! Having made many pots in my younger years, I greatly respect the expertise of the artists crafting the geometric designs on those vessels. Not only does it require clay techniques, it demands sophisticated spatial thinking. Amazing!

            I am excited about your executive order for the Climate Corps! Can’t wait to see how that unfolds.

            I am intrigued by the linguistic analysis of your latest speech at the UN where you did not use any versions of the words “autocracy” or “authoritarian.” Another phrase I am curious about is “de-risking not decoupling.” I have never heard of “de-risking” & wonder who made it up.

            Please do not promise any weapons to Bibi in your meeting with him today. I share your ambivalence toward him. I find myself wondering “where is that of God in Bibi?” & regret that it’s so easy to see the darkness that lurks in his soul.  You might help him figure out how to repair the damage he did when he told his citizens, “God has not always protected us, not on European soil & not on Ukrainian soil.” The “chosen” people took offense to that one.

            Did you hear that a former Karenni refugee became a finalist in the Miss Universe Finland pagent? She is shining a light on the detrimental effects of growing up in the camps. Please invite her to the WH to help Americans understand why we should be more welcoming.
