My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Happy Women’s Equality Day (WED)! How can it be that I had never heard of WED before today? How can it be that I didn’t know about the Women’s Strike for Equality on this day in 1970 when 50,000 feminists blocked traffic on 5th Ave in NYC? How come I’ve never heard of Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, the African American abolitionist, suffragist, who wrote the poem, Double Standard published in 1895? That poem should be read in every high school English class in America so students can think about the verse:

Can you blame me if I’ve learned to think

Your hate of vice a sham,

When you so coldly crushed me down

And then excused the man?

Isn’t that compelling? This sentiment is articulated by Anna Delvey in an intriguing Netflix docudrama we’re watching right now, but I digress.

            Back to compelling words, did you really make a fiery speech yesterday? How did that feel? Any regrets for using the term anti-fascist? I still am not clear on what that is. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to learn more about it. In any case, congratulations on your recent successes & I hope we can continue to make progress on improving the lives of Americans.

            What are your thoughts about the junta’s arrest of former British Ambassador, Vicky Bowman, for living at an unregistered address. They’ve detained her & her husband. Do you agree with Moe Zaw Oo, from the NUG, that the junta is employing “hostage diplomacy” borrowing from the tactics VPP uses when he imprisons folks like Brittney Griner? Speaking of whom, any progress on getting her out? Please do what you can about both of these situations.
