My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,
Did you have a blast at your signing ceremony yesterday? Where was NPP? I would have expected to see her with CES & JM3, but she was MIA. Did Rep Kathy Castor (KAC) (FL-14) go in her place? As Chair of the House Select Committee on Climate Crisis, KAC probably had a hand in some of the specifics of the bill, but NPP is the one who marshalled the votes to get it passed. I love her motto, “Don’t Agonize, Organize.” She’s a wizard at that & we’re lucky to have her!!!
It’s too bad that you had to cut your vacation short for the signing. I saw a photo of you riding your bike on the beach & read that you encouraged your entourage of reporters to put their bathing suits on. We all need to stop and smell the flowers from time to time. Too bad you didn’t have more time for the restoration of contemplation.
I am trying to make room in every day for that. Sit quietly & try to stay in the present. My trick is to listen for the birds. Their song reminds me to concentrate on NOW. A deep hum helps, too. I encourage you to try it. Take a deep breath & engage your diaphram to expel the air so it passes by your vocal folds. Doing this causes a vibration at the back of your neck which will soothe your nerves & leave you feeling calm & focused.
I once again applaud you for letting JM3 & CES figure things out behind closed doors. Giving people voice is what democracy is all about. Unfortunately, Gen Min Aung Hlaing (MAH) is doing exactly the opposite in Burma. AJ says, MAH is clinging to power by consolidating his power. He’s firing military chiefs & making moves against tycoons. His “survival at any costs” approach is hurting the Burmese people most of all. Please continue to keep a close eye on the situation & continue to set a good example for democratic leadership here in the USA.
BYBS,
