My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            You need to call Sally Buzzbee, at the WP, to thank her for covering you so thoroughly, especially today when articles included info about your trip to Cleveland, your concern for Brittany Griner & your Medal of Honor ceremony yesterday. By the way, I loved reading about Specialist 5 Birdwell, who “took charge after his tank commander was gravely wounded.” My uncle claimed it’s this kind of Citizen Soldier that can think for themselves & take charge that makes our military great.

         You might also call Joe Kahn & ask him why your name does not appear at all on the NYT website today. He has recently taken over as the edit0r & is supposed to have, “a long track record of helping journalists produce their most ambitious and courageous work.” I love that he is emphasizing visual journalism. If you compliment him on his Pulitzers for his reporting on China, he might be receptive to your request that your name appear more frequently in his headlines.

         If you talk to these editors, please ask them to give more attention to the situation in Burma. The Council on Foreign Relations suggests “the Myanmar armed forces are having trouble holding onto recruits, are not filling classes at their defense academy, and are suffering significant defections from their forces in the field.” Publicizing this idea could help further deplete the junta.

         I hope your Ohio trip goes well today.
