My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I understand that your symptoms are improving & all you have right now is a sore throat. I hope your recovery from CV continues to go well.

When you visit with the Black Law Enforcement Executives at the NOBLE event today, please encourage them to wear masks. A vaccination is not required for them to attend their conference & Orange County has a COVID19 14-Day Rolling Percent Positive AVG of 28.6%. That means that a lot of folks are infectious so those police chiefs should be taking precautions.

            I am deeply disturbed by the headlines from Burma today that “Myanmar junta executes four pro-democracy activists in rare use of death penalty” including “popular activist U Kyaw Min Yu, better known as Ko Jimmy, and U Phyo Zeya Thaw, a former hip-hop artist who was elected to Parliament.” I was hoping that junta would refrain from killing them, since they haven’t executed anyone in more than 30 years. I agree with the UN’s guy, Tom Andrews’, when he said, “these death sentences, handed down by an illegitimate court of an illegitimate junta, are a vile attempt at instilling fear among the people of Myanmar.” I hope that he is correct when he claims, “These depraved acts must be a turning point for the international community.”

            I haven’t seen a statement from you on the matter. Please get busy with that.
