Dear Friend, JRB,
I’m happy to hear that our youngest citizens will now have access to the CV vaccine. I hope it brings their parents some comfort to know that their little ones will have some protection from the virus. I know that you are fond of kids so I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time at the DC health clinic greeting the families while their toddlers deal with the trauma of being poked.
I have sports on the brain today after reading about GS Warrior Star, Draymond Green, in the G. They called him a “Designated Heel,” because he not only trash talks on the court, he keeps his tirade going long after the game is over. They say he “won’t be satisfied until he drinks the tears of his foes.” I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from him in years to come. Watch out when he comes to the WH to celebrate the championship, you don’t want to get on his bad side.
Since I couldn’t find much of interest to read about you, I read about Title IX in the CSM. I am intrigued to see what you’ll be doing at the WH on Thur to commemorate its 50th anniversary. It’s too bad that Patsy Mink is no longer alive to celebrate with you. I was inspired to learn about her fight for equal rights as the 1st woman of color in Congress in 1964. It’s too bad that chicken pox stole her from us at age 75, when she was so popular that she posthumously won her seat representing HI-2.
On another matter, please continue to sanction copper mined in Myanmar. As you may have heard the junta just sent a convoy with 100 vehicles to Wanbao’s mine in the Sagaing Region. The resistance fighters did their best to stop it using mines & bombs, causing 40 – 50 casualties, but it did eventually get through. According to the Irawaddy, the junta is getting $725 million/year from Wanbao so the sanctions aren’t as effective as they might be. Do what you can to increase enforcement.
BYBS,
