My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            “I love you, and there is nothing you can do about it.” This is my mantra of the day.

I got it from an article in today’s G, by Heove ve 'keso (Yellowbird), Chief Phillip Whiteman Jr, traditional Northern Cheyenne Chief, who explains that all the strife we face right now is due to our Western, exploitive mindset. He reflects on the genocide that his people continue to face noting “This historic trauma taught me that either you hate yourself or you accept and love yourself.”

He’s teaching Cheyenne youth this message through his organization, Yellowbird Lifeways, which sponsors a “run where Cheyenne children follow the footsteps of their ancestors, running 400 miles through four states in harsh winter conditions.” Please invite him to the WH to commemorate the survival of his people & to uplift his message, “War cannot defeat war, only love can stop war.”

            On a different matter, have you heard that the generals in Burma say they are going to carry out the execution of Kyaw Min Yu & Phyo Zeya Thaw sometime soon? The WP reported that Manny Maung, a researcher at Human Rights Watch believes, “The military is trying to gauge the temperature of both the international and domestic community to see how far they can push the Myanmar population into being obedient.” So, it’s important that you broadcast your objections. I’d love to see at least one tweet a day about Burma.

Since you have begun to complain about the actions of the shipping monopolies, you could point out that they collude with the generals by continuing to ship their products in & out of Thilawa Port. Please urge them to stop doing so. You could put that in a tweet, too.
