My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,
The Sac Bee’s headliner today is: “Easter Reborn – Out of the Pandemic, how will churches rejoice?” We had a work party at our Meeting House yesterday to prepare. What did they do at St. Joe’s on the Brandywine?
So happy to hear that the WH Egg Roll is back on this year, with the wonderful title, EGGucation. Your publicity folk are attributing that idea to Jill. Nice! I’ll be interested to learn how many families visit the “Reading Nook.”
We have our own egg hunt here in VH. It’s back in action after being on hiatus. Neighbors hide eggs for the youngsters & kids come out of the woodwork to participate. In addition to the young friends I encounter out & about on a regular basis, I meet strangers who don’t get out much.
I used to bake “love buns” to share at the brunch, but since I’ve given up carbs, I’m eschewing that aspect of the event this year. I’ll just mingle with my tea cup, rather than nosh on treats. I can’t stay long because I have to head over to MFW at DFM where I will be hosting a mini-egg hunt for a pair of siblings. I hide eggs with candy for them, & then they put loving messages in the eggs & hide them for the grown-ups to find. We all get a big kick out of it. Since you have few mentions in the press today, I will refrain from commenting on your activities. I will, as usual, ask that you attend to the situation in Myanmar. Today’s news indicates that the junta is freeing some prisoners, something they always do to commemorate their new year. Perhaps more promising is the information that they have arrested a tycoon, revealing “tension within the regime.” Perhaps sanctions are working.
BYBS,
