My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            It looks like you are having a nice spring day there in DC. Please take a moment out of your busy schedule to walk the dog & smell the fresh air.

            What did you think of VOZ’s speech to Congress? CNN says it was quite “dramatic” & that his knowledge of “stagecraft” has made him an effective communicator to help the world understand how traumatic the Russian invasion has been. I appreciate his predicament but remind you that WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER & support your decisions to avoid escalating the conflict. Please do NOT send him the planes he wants & do NOT create a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

            Please let VOZ know that we hear him, that we love him & all involved in this conflict & that we hope it will end soon. It may bring him some comfort to know that hundreds of Quakers from around the globe gather every day to hold Ukraine in the Light.

            I hope you enjoy your visit to the Ireland Fund 30th Gala tonight. I understand that Northern Ireland politics have been scrambled over Brexit & challenging the tenuous peace between Sinn Fein & the unionists. Apparently, they had a major disagreement recently about planting a rose bush. Perhaps you can help mend things.

            As you take up the causes of the people of Ukraine & Ireland, don’t forget the people of Myanmar. Please take a look at the new report from the UN Human Right’s Office that details the numerous atrocities committed by the Tatmadaw. It labels these activities war crimes & calls for “a firm, unified, and resolute international response.” You’ve been great at getting NATO & the EU to join together against Russia, please employ the same tactics to rally nations on behalf of the Burmese people.
