My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

Last year at this time I shared this quote with you as food for thought. “The military wanted to destroy my brain, my will to fight the dictatorship and my hope. It failed.” (by Burmese activist, Bo Kyi).  Hope springs eternal & on this spring day, here in Davis, CA, my communion with Friends far & wide, as well as nearby will help keep my hopes up.

As bleak as things are getting in Ukraine, Myanmar & many other places in this world, children laugh & play. They have the gift of the present & their creativity enables them to adapt their games to help them process the atrocities that they are witnessing.

I am in awe of the tenacity of the human spirit. Our life force is a mystery to me but I know it should be revered.

Please do what you can to remove the occasion of war & work for peace.
