My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            The Congressional Ball? According to your schedule, you & Jill are hosting that tonight, yet there’s no news of it on-line. Could I come?

Are all of the Reps & Sens invited? How about their partners? That would be the bipartisan thing to do. While I’m not sure you want to shake hands with Josh Hawley (JDH) or Paul Gosar (PAG), snubbing them would be like snubbing all of the people of MO & AZ-4. Even though JDH accused Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of being “soft on child pornographers” & PAG’s family has disowned him, they are still elected officials who deserve the same respect & consideration of everyone else in Congress.

While I know I am dreaming, in my perfect world, Jill would be upcycling a gown from Secondi Inc, rather than wearing a new one. She could get her helpers to refashion it to look new. My daughter, & all the other climate sensitive kids in the country, would love that!

I hope you are aware that the 9 folks, who constitute the UN Credentials Committee, are having their yearly meeting. Usually ignored by the world, since the coup in Burma, it has taken on great importance. Last year, Kyaw Moe Tun was allowed to stay. This year, things might be different because Russia is such an outcast, they may be desperate for one of their few allies in the world to be represented at the UN.

As Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield can tell you if the UN accepts the junta’s nominee, UN humanitarian aid might follow. While that might help some people it will offer undeserved legitimacy to the junta. Please do what you can to insist that Kyaw Moe Tun continue to represent the people of Burma.
