My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            What did you think of Matt Bai’s piece in the WP? Did the nice things he had to say about how you are always “being underestimated,” & how “it’s been a quarter century since Democrats won a presidential campaign without Biden on the ticket” soften the blow of his point that in the past 50 years 9 sitting presidents have appeared on the ballot, and 4 of them have lost. He thinks putting you on the 2024 ballot is the riskiest thing the Dems can do.

            Did you discuss this matter with your family this weekend?

            On another matter, I was inspired to read about Sean Turnell’s 650 days in prison. His love for his wife got him through the ordeal, & despite solitary confinement & fighting off rats, scorpions & other pests, he still loves Myanmar.  He says, "99% of the people in Myanmar are just wonderful – the most friendly, engaging, kind people it's possible to imagine…The Burmese people have nothing to apologise for."

            Please do all you can to help those lovely people make peace with the junta.
