My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

It looked like you enjoyed your virtual tour of the 24/7 vaccination site at the State Farm Stadium. It’s great that they vaccinate caretakers & family members when they can.

I was happy to hear that AZ is working on mobile teams who can get to folks in under-served communities. I’m surprised we haven’t done that already. If we really want to solve racial disparities, we need to start working harder! This whole SNAFU of the vax rollout is just another reminder that the world is not perfect & we’ve just got to keep on keepin’ on.

It was great that the charge nurse, Brittany Hayes, was the star of the show. I liked her attitude of making sure that her staff could huddle when they had problems & that she wanted them to know that they were not alone. It was wonderful when you told her that “Doctors let you live; nurses make you want to live.” That’s been my experience & I’m so grateful that there are people in the world who can deal with blood & guts with tenderness & care. I wish you hadn’t asked her if she was a freshman at the university. I know that you were trying to flatter her, but professional women do not worry about their age & don’t appreciate when someone remarks on it. That’s an old school thing that I encourage you to leave behind.

I continue to worry about Mayanmar. It troubles me that Gen. MAH is talking about a “true & disciplined democracy” and am anxious that he might be giving himself license to enforce his new curfews & bans with physical violence. I am holding him in the Light hoping he can find a more creative way to save face.

            Peace be with you (PBWY),
