            I’m glad your trip to KC was a success. I hope you enjoyed your B-Bque from Gates. I’m sure Mayor Lucas appreciated all of the wonderful publicity about his electric buses and zero-fare transit system. Some folks are worried that the fed funds will pay for “sketchy projects” such as a putting a deck over the downtown hway loop. Hopefully, PPMB won’t let that kind of thing go through.

            Did you notice the Ethiopian protestors requesting that the US stop interfering with politics in their home country? They far outnumbered the Trump fans who are upset about anything you do.

            Speaking of which, what do you make of the GOPs’ campaign against vax mandates? Is it a cynical appeal to economically disadvantaged folks who don’t trust the government, including BIPOC people? Apparently, WI Sen. Ron Johnson is trying to finesse the issue by saying he’d be in favor of vax mandates if the disease were as deadly as Ebola. That’s a subtle argument that my neighbors in Dunbar, WI, may not appreciate.

            Please hold the people in Myanmar in the Light. They have just heard that the Tatmadaw killed 11 villagers in Done Taw in the Saigaing region & burned the bodies. Clearly, the soldiers are going amok & it has to be scary to live in a place where your fellow citizen feels free to kill you.

            I’m afraid that could be said of Kenosha, so let’s keep working on this democracy thing so people realize that their freedoms are not limitless.
