My Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Did you have a manic Monday hustling to get your bills passed. Jennifer Rubin opined in the WP that the media coverage of your efforts are “unhelpful or downright wrong.” She affirmed that you did, in fact, RUN on the agenda you are advocating now, that it is NOT being subverted by progressives & that the Machema pair are  NOT saving the Dems from themselves. She concludes that you & your allies are being flexible & patient. So, keep calm & carry on as you explore your options. I have faith that a way will eventually open.

            You appeared only once on the 10/4 NYT home page in an article about trade relations with China. Can you really blame them for having second thoughts about buying Boeing airplanes during a pandemic? I don’t have much confidence in Boeing these days & the demand for air travel is way down. I know it was disconcerting to see 25 PLA jets flying around Taiwan’s airspace on Friday, but tariffs probably won’t stop that.

Please send Janet Yellen to Bejing to talk some sense into KJ’s people. Nikkea Asia suggests that she can help them “reboot” & recognize that they are shooting themselves in the feet by sabotaging their own tech innovators. She might be able to find common ground on climate change, cybersecurity, North Korea, Iran. That would be great! 

            Please be nice to Rep. Michelle Steel when she calls asking for help with the oil spill in Huntington Beach. Even though she calls herself a “tax fighter,” who plans to vote against the BBB & BIB, the wildlife & delicate marsh habitat need protection. Please look into decommissioning the oil rigs feeding the pipeline that leaked. Miyoko Sakashita, director of the Center for Biological Diversity’s Oceans program calls them “time bombs” & claims that the oil industry has failed too many times & can’t be trusted to operate safely. Let’s replace those oil rigs with some wind turbines. Still not pretty, but at least not toxic.
