My Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            How was your meeting with Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta (UK) yesterday? Were you able to convince him that he could stop the accusations of corruption against him by taking his $30 million & paying off some of Kenya’s debt? They owe $6.5 billion to the Chinese for their new railway between Mombasa and Nairobi. His $$ is just a drop in the bucket, but it’s the principle of the thing.  

I love the idea of sending vaccine to Africa. Do you think 17 million doses will be enough?

            I hope you have fun with Sen Dodd at U. Conn today. Their new building for his Center for Human Rights looks spiffy. It looks like they have lots of great programs there. I am especially intrigued with the Democracy & Dialogues program which facilitates community deliberations & discussions & building local partnerships to increase local democratic & civic participation. That might be something we need at UCD. Let me know.

            Did you call Deb Haaland & congratulate her for completing the Boston Marathon? I am in awe of anyone over 60 who can run a mile, let alone 26.2 of them. She says that putting her feet on the earth is a perfect way to know the land. The WP featured an interview with her today where she said she wanted to “unleash the science” & give scientists “the freedom to do what they do best — research, compile data, share it with the world, and use that data to help all of us make the best decisions for our planet now and for the future.” Yeah!

            I read in the KCS that unemployment claims dropped. They speculate that’s because women have stopped looking for work. Wages are up 4.6%. Are you talking about the possibility of inflation in the WH? What’s the best hedge against it? Bitcoin?

            Please support the ASEAN folk in excluding Myanmar’s Senior Gen. Min Aung Hlaing from attending their meeting. He does not have the best interests of his people in his heart.
