Friend DJT,

            It looks like you had fun at your “Salute to America” event yesterday. My neighbors were saluting America last night, setting off pyrotechnics & dancing the night away. I tried to worship with my Friends in Yangon, MI, & England but it was hard to find my inner peace when there was so much excitement in the air. I hope to do better this morning. Are you worshipping this morning?

            I just read in the Guardian that Kayne West has announced he is running for President in 2020 & Elon Musk is endorsing him. ABC speculates that this could be just a publicity stunt to sell his new album, “God’s Country.” Did you encourage him to run so he can draw some of Biden’s supporters away?

            It’s going to be a fascinating election. I was just reading about Sara Gideon’s (SG) campaign to unseat Susan Collins (SMC) in ME. SG has raised $23 million so far while SMC has raised $16.2 million. I kind of like SMC but, according to CNN, her vote for Kavanaugh may do her in. SG’s has made a big deal of making nalaxone available to more opioid addicts. I hope you support that idea. Did you know that opioid overdoses are way up? According to a July 1 WP article, May 2020 had 42% more opioid overdoses than May 2019. Treatment programs need some emergency funding. I hope you’ll look into that.
