My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
Isn’t it great that women are stepping up? Did you see that Alyssa Nakken coached 1st Base during the SF Giants exhibition game last night? Have you heard about the Wall of Moms in Portland, OR?
The “Wall of Moms” is such a brilliant concept with an artful poetic flair. First, they co-opted your Wall idea – evoking the ideas that a wall can keep people out, that a wall separates good from evil, that a wall offers protection. Then they added to it the Mom image – strong but vulnerable females whose job is to love & nurture. What police person would want to confront a Wall of Moms singing, “Leave our kids alone?”
It reminded me of Alice Paul (ASP) & her crew of Silent Sentinels who stood outside the White House for 1917-1919 to draw attention to the suffrage movement. Like the Moms in Portland, they stood together in the face of angry men in peaceful protest. ASP went to jail & waged a hunger strike. Her sacrifices helped the 19th Amendment pass through Congress. I hope the ladies in the Wall of Moms don’t end up in jail.
Are you sure that the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) folks and the US Marshals will know what to do when they are faced with a Walls of Moms in Libby Schaaf & Lori Lightfoot’s cities? I encourage you to consult with the elected officials in Oakland & Chicago so you can invest our tax payer $$ wisely in federal efforts to ameliorate the problems in those metropolises.
HYITL,
