Friend, DJT,
I was not fast enough on the “I am not a robot” exercise on the Recreation.gov website to get a pass to Yosemite – DARN! That website is primitive! Perhaps you could ask David Vela (RDV), Deputy Director of NPS, “Exercising the Authority of Director” to get a better site. RDV has been in that role for a couple of years. Isn’t it about time that you get a permanent director who can actually do something?
Have fun in WI today. Be ready to see lots of Packers shirts. As you will recall my family has a cabin in Marinette County. Its claim to fame is its 14 waterfalls & the most devastating forest fire in US history killing 1200 people on the same day as the Chicago fire in Oct. 1871.
I was surprised to learn that Marinette had an Italian ship building company getting contracts with the Navy. Some folks who work at the yard aren’t thrilled with their employer. For example, one wrote, I was a “female welder for 7.5 years, good ole boys club, women are ostracized, and discriminated against, management is terrible all around, I wouldn't wish this job/place on my worst enemy!! feels like you’re in prison every day!!!” I hope you’ll look into these allegations. I guess the folks at Bath Iron Works are even more disgruntled. Will you be mentioning their strike in your remarks at Fincantieri today?
I learned some helpful facts about CV from the WSJ today. Perhaps you can share them with Sean Hannity so the people of America can make good decisions about how to navigate the world. Interestingly, an estimated 10% of people with CV are responsible for about 80% of transmissions. I think that’s because they go to a crowded place without a mask for a few hours and infect a lot of people. Another fascinating fact is the attack rate for CV in households ranges between 4.6% and 19.3%. I guess people manage to keep their distance in most households.
Hope your moment at the Korean War Memorial today reminds you that WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER.
HYITL,
