My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
How are you enjoying you visit to Sin City? I’m sorry that I don’t share your enthusiasm for the place. It’s too artificial for me. You can’t escape smoke in the casinos or inebriated people on the sidewalk. The Eiffel Tower, Egyptian Pyramids and Statue of Liberty do not belong together and fountains in the desert are just wrong. I could go on but I will spare you.
It looks like the graduation ceremony at HOPE for prisoners was a grand success yesterday. Founder Jon Ponder must be basking in all of the positive attention he’s been getting lately. First the key to the city and now a visit from the President! He deserves it for all of the hard work he has done to create a space for people to figure out how to be their best selves. It just shows that it’s never too late to change.
So, I am confused about your stance toward law enforcement and our judicial system. Sometimes you are a fan, saying how great our police force is, and other times you are insulting the FBI or a police chief or a judge. I worry that your experience in the principal’s office back in the day has left you confused about authority. My suspicion is that consequences for your youthful transgressions were inconsistent, leaving you with little faith in the system. How can we help you to get it back? Our country works because we believe in the system. That’s what HOPE for prisoners is all about. When the formerly incarcerated trust the world again, they are able to make better choices to stay out of prison. Perhaps you need to spend more time with Jon Ponder so he can help you see the Light.
BYBS,
RCA
