My Dear Friend and POTUS, DJT,

            Sorry to miss our letter yesterday. I had to leave the house early to be on time for our volume lesson in Mr. G’s class. The kids built and described rectangular prisms. They’re still trying to wrap their heads around what we mean by “height”, “length” and “width.” We’re getting there.

            How was your meeting with Ecuador President Lenin Moreno (LM) yesterday? I couldn’t find out much about it. The Daily Mail reported that LM is the only world leader in a wheel chair, and Footwear News noted that Melania’s pumps matched her python-print skirt. All the other newsoutlets ran the AP story which included reference to trade and selling military equipment. I encourage you to refrain from selling LM any guns or tanks. He has a 20% approval rating and is alleged to have said, “I want to thank the people who didn’t vote for me. I’m starting to hate the people who did.” With an attitude like that it’s no wonder that there are riots in Quito. I’m afraid he may be tempted to take drastic measures so let’s just keep giving them $ to help with the Venezuelan refugee crisis and that’s it.

            I’m afraid that you made a bad choice in tweeting about Roger Stone’s prison sentence. You’re supposed to stay out of trying to influence the judicial branch. CSM quoted U of MO Law Professor Frank Bowman as pointing out that citizens worry when the President uses “the DOJ as a shield to himself and his friends and as a sword against his enemies.” You really don’t want to do that, do you?
