My Dear Friend and POTUS, DJT,
Is today President’s Day or is it next week? I am confused because I tried to visit a school today and it was closed. It’s too bad that Lincoln and Washington were born in the same month and we have to decide when to celebrate them. No offense, but I doubt we’ll ever have a national holiday celebrating your birth. If you can pull off a miracle and unite our country, then you can prove me wrong.
How was the Governor’s Ball last night? I tried to find some photos of the governors in their gowns but no such luck! I did find a photo of Kim Reynolds and Kristi Noem meeting with other Governors of the Missouri River Basin talking about flooding. Apparently, it’s going to be a mess this spring since the soils are super saturated from last year, there’s a decent snowpack and plenty of rain on its way. The Corp of Engineers is warning folks to be prepared. Are we?
Speaking of rivers, congratulations on making some headway on cleaning up the Tijuana River! It was great to read in the LAT that the Borderpatrol and Surfriders convinced you to include provisions in the USMCA to spend $300 million on upgrading the waste water treatment plant. Hopefully, everyone in the area will get some relief from the toxic fumes and poisonous water that flow into the ocean at the US/Mexico border.
Enjoy your visit to NH today.
BYBS,
