My dear Friend, DJT,
It will be a Halloween like no other. Rather than sitting in the driveway, entertaining kids with my witchy act by showing them my creepy dead “friends,” I will keep my distance as they pick up their treat bags. It’s too bad that the ideal conditions for trick-or-treating, including falling on a Sat. & a full moon, are hampered by CV. Since kids are undaunted, the excitement abounds in the neighborhood, led by the 5-year-old who has been wearing her dog costume all week. She is bound & determined to have a great day & I’m sure she will.
Did you know that the election could hinge on the Hmong vote? That’s what the WP says. Here’s the math – there are 121,000 Hmong voters in MI, WI & MN. The Hmong vote at the highest rate of any ethnic group in the country. Last time their participation rate was 89%. This time it might be closer to 100%. The races in those swing states were decided by 10,704 votes in MI, 22,748 in WI & 45,000 in MN, that’s a total of 78,452 votes. They tend to be Independents so the Hmong could make the difference.
JRB did the math so in late Sept., he met with Captain Cher Kai Xiong (CKX) who led the Hmong fight against the Communists during the Vietnam War. Since the Hmong revere their elders, CKX is an influential guy in Greenbay. You might want to call him to reassure him that you are not going to deport Hmong immigrants. It might make a difference – who knows.
It’s too bad that you are visiting MI on the same day that the Spartans are playing the Wolverines. Even if folks can’t gather to watch the game, all eyes in the Great Lake State will be glued to FOX & the media may give it more attention than your rallies. Oh well, at least the people who show up to shiver in the cold to listen to your musings will be entertained.
BYBS,
