            I guess your calendar was wrong yesterday or you had a change in plans. Anyway, I see that you stayed in DC and visited with some mayors in the WH.

            Paul Creighton of Atwater, CA was very excited about the pen you gave him at the event. He’s trying to get his town out of debt and deal with a mismanaged police department. Are you ready to help him with those problems?

            It’s too bad that you didn’t have Stockton’s mayor, Michael Tubbs (MDT), in attendance. Not only is he the youngest mayor in the nation to lead a big city, he’s trying out a radical experiment that seems to be working out. 125 poor folk are getting $500 a month, no strings attached. They’re about a year into it now and the recipients are using the money wisely. MDT wants to “capture the public’s imagination, expanding what’s possible.” Don’t you love it?
