My dear friend and president, DJT,

         There's some kind of magic in the air today. The NYT, the WP and the Guardian all included your name 14 times on their homepages. It's the first time that they've all matched. 14 is 7 times 2 which may mean that today you are going to have double the luck you have on most days.

         I have one observation and one suggestion. The observation has to do with China and relates to Peter Goodman's analysis in today's NYT that you've got mutually exclusive goals in hoping to cut economic ties with China and have economic expansion in the USA. Trading with the biggest country on the planet has fueled our economy for the past 50 years. We could let our paranoia get the best of us by jacking up tariffs and forcing US companies to leave China, but every time you bring that up, the stock market goes down. You can't have your cake and eat it, too, so you'll have to choose. That's my observation.

         My suggestion is to let go of the idea of having the next G7 at your hotel in Florida. I'm sure you're going to let all of the countries stay at the Doral for free to avoid appearances of conflict of interest. That might be appealing, but the group just met in a beachy kind of place and Florida in the summer is just too humid! I suggest Aspen instead. It's beautiful. Security is doable. If you want to be closer to a major airport, Park City is another option. The mountains in the summer are gorgeous. Please give this suggestion some consideration.
