My Dear Friend and President, DJT,
Florence continues to affect the poor folk of SC and NC. They are getting desperate. I hope you can help them.
What will you be talking with Poland Pres. Andrzej Duda about today? I hope you challenge him on his approach to his judiciary. As I hope you know, he's forcing judges to retire so he can put his own people in their places. That's not very democratic, is it? As we all know, a balance of power prevents any one person from having too much influence. Luckily the sitting Supreme Court justice, Malgorzata Gersdorf has the courage to resist his efforts. Some folks in Poland worry that they are on the way to a civil war and the business people just want the "certainty of law" to be reestablished so that foreign investors will be comfortable working in Poland. Please try to talk some sense into him!
Speaking of Supreme Courts, I am very sorry to hear that your SC nominee has a checkered past. I am afraid we are in for another round of ugliness during his confirmation hearings. Maybe you should start over and nominate a woman.
I'm glad you are moving forward on developing a biodefense strategy. According to Loren Thompson writing in Forbes, we need to be prepared for potentially devastating pandemics coming from viruses contrived in the lab. Good thing we have a fancy $1.25 billion facility under construction in Manhattan Kansas to deal with the threat. Protecting ourselves from agro-terrorism sounds like a good idea.
Speaking of agro-terrorism, the community gardeners of Village Homes would like to scare the XX out of the rats that have infested the compost piles. We are considering bringing in some dogs to eradicate them. I am not sure my neighbors are ready for a rodent massacre, but it may be the only way to reclaim our growing space.
Democracy rules except when it comes to rats!
