My dear friend and president, DJT,
Do you know the hymn, "For the beauty of the Earth...Lord, of all, for this we raise, this our hymn of grateful praise?" If not, I encourage you to learn it. It will help you adopt a humble mindset and a stance of gratitude. I'm humming it to myself this morning as I soak in the tranquility of the North Woods.
Speaking of gratitude, I hope you thanked all of those folks who gave you thousands of dollars at your Hampton fundraisers yesterday. You owe a big debt to your buddy Steve Ross, because as I'm sure you know, many of his customers and employees at Soulcycle don't like the fact that he hosted that your $$ buddies at Sandcastle. Since the company's philosophy is to provide an "inspirational, meditative fitness experience that’s designed to benefit the body, mind and soul," folks' aren't happy that their minds and soul are too troubled by your tweets to put their hearts into their workouts.
I just saw Insider Edition's video of Joe Farell's place and saw the spot where those photos with you and donors of > $35,000 would be shot. It reminded me of my reaction to spending some time in the Hamptons visiting my brother. I find the extreme wealth unsettling and am not convinced that anyone needs their own bowling alley and basketball court. I trace my queasiness back to my grandpa, who was chased off his family estate by the Red Army when the wealth gap got too extreme in 1918.
I have to go take the garbage to the waste transfer station.
Enjoy your vacay in NJ.
