My dear Friend and president, DJT,
Did you enjoy spending time with your buddy, WV Gov. Jim Justice (JCJ), yesterday? It's nice that the folks of WV have been getting so much of your attention lately. I had to smile when I read his remarks, "We really are real friends." It must be nice to have friends in high places. Apparently, JCJ's $1.9 billion make him the wealthiest person in WV. Since he has all that $, I wonder why he is fighting the federal government over the $4,776,370.40his 9 companies owe us over their mine safety violations. Perhaps next time you see him, you can ask him to just pay up and clean the slate. Then your friendship won't look suspicious.
The Pledge for the American Worker event should be fun today. I'm sure Ivanka will be there. It's a bit unclear to me exactly what this "pledge" means, but anything that involves life-long learning is a good thing. I hope that Carol Brodsky of Sterling Rope in Maine attends and you get a chance to meet her. She just signed the pledge to "retain and find opportunities for 20 to 30 employees within the next five years" whatever that means. Her little company makes all kinds of ropes and has an especially strong market in climbing ropes. They've got a few military contracts and all the NYC firefighters carry a "FireTech" rope so they can safely climb out of a burning building. If CompTIA President and CEO Todd Thibodeauxis there please ask him to explain his pledge to "certify 625,000 workers to empower new or advanced careers in the dynamic technology sector." I am not familiar with "empowering a career." Clearly I am behind the times.
Enjoy your time at the Pentagon today. I hope that your new Sec. of Defense, Mark Esper, does a great job and refrains from sending too much $$ to his former employer, Raytheon.
Take care,
RCA
PS - Please tell AG WPB that using the death penalty is a BAD idea. It's expensive and killing is a bad idea. Period!
