The little foster dog is barking because he thinks he should have a treat. It is annoying!!! I will not be flying to Virginia to give him to my mom as originally planned. Too hyper! Too bad!
How did the visit to the Barracks go? It's too bad that the military folks are still talking about your choice not to go to the WWI cemetary in France on Sunday. Isn't it strange how little things can mean so much?
It should be a fun day at the WH today. How did you go about choosing the Medal of Freedom winners? Has Miriam Adelson done anything special besides give you a lot of $$? The Atlantic was critical of your choice to honor Elvis and Babe Ruth. They wondered if it was an act of "white nostalgia. I think it's about your desire to associate with slightly flawed folks. Since I love the fact that we are all flawed in some way or other, I am fine with your choice.
Did you know that my uncle, Stephen, the historian, got a medal from the Clinton's? His was a National Humanities Medal. My parents got to meet Bill and Hillary in the WH. We were all very excited.
It's still smoky. The air quality was at its worst last night. I've got a mask now so I should be ok riding to work.
