My Dear Friend and President, DJT,
I didn't get to write to you yesterday because I was too busy driving from Griffin, IN to Richmond. I got a chance to see I-69. You'll remember that's the road that Mike P. hoped to build through a P3 partnership with Isolux Corsun. It's not finished and there's still a stretch that has a couple of stop lights and cross traffic. Just a reminder that making a profit on building infrastructure projects requires some magic that few companies can conjure up. Isolux Corsun was not up to the task.
I was so sorry to hear your comments at last night's rally about Christine Blassey Ford. It's clear that you didn't comprehend her testimony about the way that our brains work. I won't repeat all that she said, but just remind you that traumatic memories are encoded differently than ordinary events because according to cognitive scientist, Dr. van der Kolk, "extreme emotional arousal interferes with hippocampal memory functions." I have no doubt that Brett was a big man on campus whose arrogance got the best of him and who still gets defensive when his feelings are bruised. We all know folks like that and I'm afraid you're losing votes with every word that you say in his defense. Let the FBI take their time to investigate him and then let the Senate decide. In the meantime, please refrain from discussing his case.
I see that you'll be meeting with Nicki Haley today. I encourage you to thank her for putting such a positive spin on the laughter that echoed through the halls of the UN last week when you claimed to be the best US president ever. I'm sure that a few of the diplomats "love your honesty," but I think others were laughing for other reasons.
I'm sure you are aware that the NYT has some evidence about your family's clever tactics to avoid taxes. I worry that you'll say some regrettable things about that. We'll see.
Best,
RCA
